New Delhi: The
Delhi Police today arrested another bookie who was in touch with
suspended Rajasthan Royals player Ajit Chandila in connection with the
on-going IPL spot-fixing pre
The bookie, Bhupinder Nagar, was arrested from Greater Noida, a sub-urb of Delhi, and was a part of the fourth set of bookies that Chandila was in touch with. The three other groups of bookies are already under arrest.
Chandila had been paid around Rs. 70 lakhs by the bookies, the Delhi Police said.Earlier today, the Delhi Police also arrested two other bookies from Hyderabad.
All three arrested bookies have now been sent to police custody for three days.
The Delhi Police has so far arrested at least 22 people in connection with the spot fixing scandal case.
Chandila, along with tainted pacer S Sreesanth, is in police custody till tomorrow. He was arrested on charges of spot-fixing on May 16.
