NELLORE: Police arrested a hi-tech gang involved in cricket betting here on Thursday. The gang is operating from Hyderabad with the assistance of bookies in Nellore and other towns.
According to DSP KVN Reddy, the gang is headed by bookies Darapuneni Brahma Naidu and Syam Prasad. The other accused arrested were Pradeep Kumar alias Chinna, Vijaya Kumar, Gudipati Mallikarjuna and Ramesh, all from Nellore town. The accused were found assisting the Brahma Naidu gang in luring people for cricket betting.
